Bricks, Bricks, Bricks!

Roof tiles basically done

I dropped in this morning to go over the position of the hand rails by the toilet and the Kava roof tiles are pretty much done with the roofers finishing off today.

Bath is in, windows and cavity sliders going in today...

It's all happening!

Progress as of Sunday 11th Sep....

Here's how things were on Sunday when we went down to go through the place with our electrician! Very exciting as this was the first time we were able to get up in to the place since the frame has been up!

Almost framed!

Chippie thinks that he'll probably be done by about lunch tomorrow... house is looking great. The roof space down the guts of the house above the living/dining/kitchen is huge... would be a great space for one of those roof cavity storage solutions...although might be hard getting up there!

Gutters have arrived on site so here's hoping that all of the these 'shower or two' days keep amounting to nothing much.

Stacey took the kids down to see how the house was going today, and after they left the house they saw an open gate at the school the kids will be going to next year, so went in and went for a look around.

Well, from all reports Khai is ready to start there tomorrow! The playgrounds are fantastic and I believe they had a great time tearing around! The school is two levels in places and Stace found that there are lifts to get upstairs and all round accessibility is good.

Framing continues....

Bright blue skies and warm sun for the first day of Spring and the roof trusses are starting to find their place. Nathan, our chippie, has been held up a little on other jobs and at this point in time sees himself being done at our place sometime mid next week.

I had ordered a few canvas prints for the spare room. Well, that's the plan at this stage. Stace wants to do a kind of beachy, coastal themed room in there, and these will probably go pretty nicely above the bed or something.
